Tolga, QLD, Australia
UTW Day organizer Christine Boll in Tolga, QLD, Australia will join us for the second time time, and we are very happy to have her back!
This year, Christine will team up with a local charity called Mareeba Animal Refuge. This Animal Refuge in Australia is run by volunteers who work to make a difference in the lives of refuge animals. If you live nearby, they are still looking for volunteers!
If you live in the area and would like to join Chrissy, she will take you on a 49 km ride to see the world as it is, by slowing down the pace and seeing the amazing rural beauty that you have on your doorsteps. Plus everyone is welcomed to bring a bag for any rubbish laying along the road .
About the Route:
From Dimbulah to Mt. Mulligan, approximately 49 km each way on gravel road. Gravel bikes welcome, no technical riding, but there may be corrugations, so a mountain bike would be more comfy. You will need lots of water (it will be hot!), and purification tablets or filter if you need to refill at Mt. Mulligan for the return ride. (Chrissy will bring extra tablets in case someone forgets).
Chrissy will meet with you at the carpark across from the Dimbulah Pub at 6 am, ready to start the ride 6.30 am.
